Hello. I'm Superintendent of Schools Theresa Plascencia, and I'm really excited to unveil important details about our district. Newly updated strategic plan. Destination 2028. Destination 2028 has a different look and feel than our previous strategic plan, but at its core, it builds upon the foundation laid by preceding strategic plan initiatives. Our new plan was carefully designed with the input from stakeholders to ensure that our actions and resources are aligned with the vision and values of our school district community. Each aspect of Destination 2028 is built with four key pillars in mind, each of which will represent a core area that will guide our efforts in the coming years. The pillars that drive our work are as follows: Enhancing learning experiences to maximize student achievement. Facilitating family and community engagement. Establishing safe and nurturing learning environments. And ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is at the core of all that we do in the district. New in Destination 2028 is the establishment of SMARTIE goals around several initiatives which will help us as we develop and refine our practices. Also new on our website, you will soon be able to find dashboards that will be updated with our progress related to some of our major initiatives. We hope that our community visits periodically to stay updated on our work.
