Dear Parents:
Our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team will host an informational parent meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 16 at Whittier Elementary School, 901 Lewis Avenue. During the 90-minute meeting our team plans to share information about the department’s mission, goals, and upcoming initiatives. We will also share information on how you as a parent can get involved and help support your child's education both at school and at home.
During the meeting we will offer childcare and light snacks for children in Prek to 5th grade. We are asking that parents who will be in attendance and in need of childcare please complete a brief survey. Your responses will help us adequately plan for next week’s meeting.

Nuestro equipo de Participación Familiar y Comunitaria (FACE, por sus siglas en inglés) será el anfitrión de una reunión informativa para padres a las 6 p.m. el jueves 16 de noviembre en la Escuela Elemental Whittier, 901 Lewis Avenue. Durante la reunión de 90 minutos nuestro equipo planea compartir información sobre la misión del departamento, objetivos y próximas iniciativas. También compartiremos información sobre cómo los padres pueden participar y ayudar a apoyar la educación de su hijo/a tanto en la escuela como en el hogar.
Durante la reunión ofreceremos cuidado de niños y bocadillos ligeros para los niños de Pre Kinder a 5to grado. Les pedimos a los padres que asistiran y necesiten cuidado de niños que completen una breve encuesta. Sus respuestas nos ayudarán a planificar adecuadamente la reunión de la próxima semana.
