Waukegan Public School’s Family and Community Engagement Department will host its districtwide Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration on May 3. 

The theme of this year’s event is “Innovation” and it will celebrate the innovations and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). The event will be held on Friday, May 3 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Jack Benny Middle School, 1401 Montesano Avenue. 

During the free celebration families will have an opportunity to learn about the important contributions and achievements of Asian American and Pacific Islanders. There will also be special performances, student presentations, and free food.

Celebración del Asiático Americano Isleño del Pacífico del Distrito 60

El 3 de mayo, el Departamento de Participación Familiar y Comunitaria de las Escuelas Públicas de Waukegan realizará la celebración del Mes de la Herencia del Asiático Americano Isleño del Pacífico en todo el distrito. 

El tema del evento de este año es "Innovación" y celebrará las innovaciones y contribuciones  de los Asiático Americanos Isleños del Pacífico (AAPI, por sus siglas en inglés). El evento se celebrará el viernes 3 de mayo a partir de las 5:30 p.m. en la Escuela Intermedia Jack Benny, 1401 Montesano Avenue.

Durante esta celebración gratuita, las familias tendrán la oportunidad de conocer las importantes contribuciones y logros de los Asiático Americanos Isleños del Pacífico. También habrá actuaciones especiales, presentaciones de estudiantes y comida gratis.
