The next meeting of Waukegan Public Schools’ newly formed D60 Dads of Great Students (D.O.G.S) will be hosted on Wednesday, April 6. 

The focus of this month's meeting will be to discuss potential opportunities and projects father figures can volunteer for. The group will then decide where they would like to collectively focus their efforts to support the district until the end of the year.

D.O.G.S is a program that invites all Waukegan father figures to take a more active role in their child’s education. The program is open to all father figures with children enrolled in a District 60 school, who wish to create a more positive environment for all students. 

As part of the organization, father figures will meet regularly to discuss and engage in volunteer opportunities within individual buildings, as well as work with building administration to enhance key life skills and model healthy behaviors that can improve relationships in their child(ren)’s lives.

La próxima reunión del recién formado Papás de Estupendos Estudiantes (D.O.G.S. por sus siglas en inglés) de D60 de las Escuelas Públicas de Waukegan se llevará a cabo el miércoles 6 de abril.

El enfoque de la reunión de este mes será discutir las oportunidades y proyectos potenciales  en los que las figuras paternas pueden ser voluntarios. Luego, el grupo decidirá dónde les gustaría enfocar colectivamente sus esfuerzos para apoyar al distrito hasta el final del año.

Papás de Estupendos Estudiantes de D60 es un programa que invita a todas las figuras paternas de Waukegan a asumir un papel más activo en la educación de sus hijos. El programa está abierto a todas las figuras paternas con hijos matriculados en una escuela del Distrito 60, que deseen crear un entorno más positivo para todos los estudiantes.

Como parte de la organización, las figuras paternas se reunirán regularmente para discutir y participar en oportunidades de voluntariado dentro de los edificios individuales, así como trabajar con la administración del edificio para mejorar las habilidades clave para la vida y modelar comportamientos saludables que pueden mejorar las relaciones en la vida de su(s) hijo(s).
