State assessment season begins this month, and we want to inform you about the upcoming ACCESS testing for our English Learner (EL) students. ACCESS for English Learners is an annual state assessment that measures students' progress toward English proficiency and will begin mid-January.
We encourage you to review the flier and watch the brief informational video, both linked below, which explain key details about ACCESS testing. They cover what the test measures, which students will participate, when the test will take place, and tips on how children can do their best.

La temporada de evaluaciones estatales comienza este mes, y queremos informarles sobre las próximas pruebas ACCESS para nuestros estudiantes que son aprendices de inglés (EL, por sus siglas en inglés). ACCESS para aprendices de inglés es una evaluación estatal anual que mide el progreso de los estudiantes hacia el dominio del inglés y empezará a mediados de enero.
Les recomendamos que revisen el folleto y vean el breve video informativo, ambos disponibles en los enlaces a continuación, que explican los detalles clave sobre las pruebas ACCESS. Explican qué evalúa la prueba, qué estudiantes participarán, cuándo se realizará y consejos para que los niños hagan su mejor esfuerzo.
