As we conclude National Bullying Prevention Month, Waukegan Public Schools thanks our students, staff, and families for helping promote kindness, unity, and respect throughout October.

To celebrate our final week, we’ll host Spirit Week, with fun daily themes that bring our school communities together:

Monday – Blue Jean Day: Show off your favorite denim from head to toe. Tuesday – Hat Day: Top your look with a fun, funky, or favorite hat. Wednesday – Twin/Triplet Day: Match outfits with a friend or two. Thursday – Superhero Day: Dress as your favorite hero—real or fictional. Friday – Halloween: Wear a school-appropriate costume to celebrate the day (no masks or weapons, please).

We’re also proud to partner with the Waukegan Fire Department, Waukegan Police Department, Waukegan Township, and the Mayor’s Office, who will join us in wearing our “Be Kind, Be Great, Be You!” bracelets as a sign of support for safe and welcoming schools.

Together, we can continue to stand against bullying and build a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.
