Kindergarten Applications for Cooke Magnet School Entrance Testing are due by March 22, 2019, at 3:00 PM. Please note this is only the application for testing and NOT registration: Link

Applications for grades 1-5 for Cooke Magnet School do not require placement testing. Please Note this is an application for open seats and NOT registration: Link

Early Entrance to Kindergarten: Children who have reached five years of age on or before September 1st begin kindergarten in Waukegan Schools. In very rare circumstances, a child may be ready for kindergarten prior to reaching this milestone. For more information contact the Enrichment Coordinator.

Early Entrance to First Grade: Children who have reached six years of age on or before September 1st begin first grade in Waukegan Schools. In very rare circumstances, a child may be ready for first grade prior to reaching this milestone. For more information contact the Enrichment Coordinator.

Andrew Cooke Magnet School: Grades K-1 Accelerated Curriculum

Starting the 2018-19 school year, Cooke Magnet School is offering an accelerated curriculum. Students who wish to enroll must take a placement aptitude test. Placement tests are held in Spring. Acceptance letters are sent out by June 1st.

2018-19 Grades: K-1

2019-20 Grades: K-2

2020-21 Grades: K-3

2021-22 Grades: K-4

2022-23 Grades: K-5
