All Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 schools will once again participate in Professional Learning Days throughout the school year. During these days, which allow for additional professional development opportunities for staff members, our schools will run on an altered bell schedule. See schedule here.

Professional Learning days begin on Wednesday, August 17. Professional learning days will occur once a month at each middle school, five elementary schools, and twice a month at the high school, and 10 elementary schools. During these days schools will either begin later, or end earlier than usual. 

Frequent professional development is necessary to provide opportunities for staff and learn best practices for instructional improvement and student learning.
