Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60’s Birth to Three Program recently received a “Quality Confirmation” designation for its early childhood Baby TALK program.

A “Quality Confirmation” designation indicates a program that is effectively implementing a quality curriculum, delivering appropriate services, and building trustworthy systems of support in their communities.

Following a year-long process, which included an evaluation of program management and documentation, as well as virtual-site observations and interviews with staff and families, the District's Baby TALK program was deemed eligible to join the list of confirmed programs across the state. This designation will be valid for five years.

The District’s Birth to Three program works with English and Spanish speaking infants and toddlers who are between six-weeks and 3-years-old, to help identify and build on specific areas of growth and develop school readiness skills.
