Action Items
The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of Pre-Kindergarten materials for student at-home use during continued remote and future hybrid learning. Materials included 600 Pre-K Remote Learning Materials Kits in the amount: $53,004, and 650 Pre-K Bag of Books in the amount of $19,500.
-The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of Crisis Go Self Certification Software to help facilitate daily COVID-19 screenings upon the return to hybrid instruction at an estimated cost of $10,875. The district will implement a self-screening, self-certification software to help facilitate daily COVID-19 screenings of staff, students, visitors, and contractors upon the return to hybrid instruction. School personnel and students/parents will have an opportunity to answer questions electronically and record body temperatures prior to arriving at any district facility to ensure compliance with district COVID policies and procedures. This software will also allow for monitoring of symptoms reported and positive tests reported assisting with contract tracing purposes. Several software solutions were reviewed with the IT department and district bargaining units, and there were opportunities for input from these stakeholder groups.


Personnel Items
-The Board of Education voted to approve the appointments and resignations of 22 employees, including the appointment of Mr. Issac Kirkwood as Principal of Jack Benny Middle School.
-The Board of education voted to approve the proposed contract extension of Deputy General Counsel, Joe Clary.
