Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 remains committed to supporting its students during the summer months and beyond. In an effort to maintain service to our families, our District was granted permission by the Illinois State Board of Education to continue hosting meal distribution events twice a week. 

For the remainder of summer break, our District will distribute meals each Tuesday and Thursday morning at 117 locations throughout the community. You can find a full list of sites and schedules here. The WHS-Brookside Campus will continue to offer drive through meal services from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on both distribution days. Families will be notified in advance of any changes to the distribution schedule.

Since the initial closing of schools in March, our district has distributed more than half a million meals to our students. We would again want to thank our Transportation & Child Nutrition department and our many volunteers for their efforts to make this possible, as well as Preferred Meals and Illinois Central, for their partnership.
