As the 2011/2012 academic year winds down, Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 wishes to remind parents and guardians about slight calendar changes that were announced in February.

As a result of a new teacher’s union contract, the academic calendar will see three changes related to student attendance in the upcoming weeks. Those changed are:

- The half day (1/2 day) previously scheduled for Friday, April 20 has been converted to a full day of instruction.
- The half day (1/2 day) previously scheduled for Friday, May 11 has been converted to a full day of instruction.
- The final day of student attendance has been moved from Friday, June 1 to Monday, June 4.

If parents have any questions regarding the calendar they are asked to please contact their child’s school.
