The North Shore Illinois Branch of the National Association of University Women (NAUW) recently honored two Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 administrators as its Educators of the Year. Clearview Elementary School Principal, Ms. Sarah Bankhead and District 60 Literacy Coordinator, Dr. Verna Wilson, were recognized this weekend during NAUW’s annual Salute to African American Educators.  READ MORE...
PARCC Testing to be Conducted Next Month

Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 students will begin taking the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments next month. PARCC assessment, which is conducted statewide, was created to match the Common Core State Standards adopted by the state in 2010. The PARCC replaces the state’s former tests, the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) and the Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE).   READ MORE...
Schools Open Under Normal Schedules on Friday, February 20

All Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 schools will be open tomorrow, Friday February 20, under normal schedules.
