Mentoring:

Our selected tenure teachers go through our 21st Century Mentoring course in order to be qualified to mentor a new teacher in the district. A mentor and protégé must meet for a total of 30 hours during the teachers first year.

Peer Coaching:

Currently under construction

New Teacher Induction:

Our summer training program consists of 5 days of intensive training for all of our new staff members. Topics include all district initiatives as well as curriculum, assessment, technology, ELL, SPED, and School Improvement workshops and presentations. We follow up during the year with 4 sessions where we build on topics presented in the summer.

District Institute Days:

District Institute Days are determined through the Academic Leadership Team and the Professional Development Committee. They are aligned with our current district initiative(s). Follow through sessions are generated at the building level or subsequent Institute Days.

District Professional Development Committee:

This committee consists of a representative from each school as well as representation from each department. Both teachers and administrators come together to give recommendations on district PD, Institute Days and also some of our district programs. They serve as a liaison between the schools and Lincoln Center.
