As recovery efforts continue following Monday's violent storms, some Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 offices and buildings are scheduled to resume normal operations on Thursday, July 14.

Waukegan High School will resume its regular education summer school classes on Thursday, July 14. Power has been restored at WHS-Brookside Campus, and classes will continue as scheduled. All other Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 summer school programs have been canceled for Thursday.

District offices at Lincoln Center will be open for business on Thursday, July 14. Power has not yet been restored at the Welcome Center on Greenwood Avenue as of Wednesday evening. Representatives from ComEd estimate they will restore power at Welcome Center by Thursday morning. If power is restored in time, new student registration will continue as scheduled. If power is not restored, the next new student registration will be on Thursday, July 21.

District 60 officials will make a final decision on registration early Thursday morning. Stay tuned to www.wps60.org for updates.

Thursday's band concert at Cooke Magnet School has been postponed to a yet-to-be-determined date.
