Waukegan High School students will perform “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at the Trapp Auditorium on May 3, 4 and 5. The high-spirited 1920s musical will begin at 7 p.m. on all three nights.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie” tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to New York City in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment.

Tickets are $8 for senior citizens, students and military personnel and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The Trapp Auditorium is located inside the Brookside Campus of Waukegan High School, 2325 Brookside Avenue.
