Waukegan High School will host its annual girls golf camp from July 16 to July 20 at Greenshire Golf Course in Waukegan. The free camp runs each day from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. it is open to all WHS girls interested in the sport. No experience or clubs are required to attend the camp.

The camp will be run through the WHS athletic office, by Coach Pill Maione. At the camp, coaches will introduce new players to basics of the game, while helping experienced golfers improve their skills. There is currently a shortage of female golfers in college, and skilled female golfers are said to find scholarships easier than their peers in other sports.
